GDR 1954-55
The 2nd division DDR-Liga had just been increased to 3 groups, but the Federaion decided to switch over to the
"Russian" model of playing during the calendar year. While this made sense due to the weather for the USSR, only
the fact that the GDR leadership wanted to prove themselves as Soviet lapdogs explains the DFV decision. So as a
result, there would be a "transition" tournament held in the summer of 1955...
