A small Bavarian club that has become stronger in recent years.
The club was originally founded in 1923, but the members gave up and dissolved themselves. They tried again in 1927, and this time it took. The club kicked around in the lower amateur regions, and most of the records prior to WW-II are sketchy.
The club wallowed in obscurity until the 1990s, when new sponsorship and consolidation enabled an upwards trend. Not only was a new stadion built, but the club also had success in other business, such as the hotel/resturant "Waldhof". By 2003, this improvement was crowned with the surprise promotion into the Regionalliga. Although the club did reasonably well on the field, things did not go very well financially. During the winterbreak of 2004-05, the club announced that they would go into "voluntary" bankruptcy proceedings.
