ZFC Meuselwitz

The club was founded in 1919 as Aktivist Zipsendorf, after the village where it started. It became BSG Aktivist Meuselwitz when Zipsendorf was "forcibly merged" into Meuselwitz in 1973. (The village dates back to 1168, and numbered seven farmers in 1612. The imperialist aggression of Meuselwitz started in 1753, when farmer Hans Schröter's house caught fire, and Field Marshall Heinrich von Seckendorf marched troops from Meuselwitz. This preventive strike against weapons of mass destruction led to escalation, as the Zipsendorfers unleashed a mouse infestation from 1756-59. However, the Meusuelwitzers have had the last laugh, as they seized control of ZFC in 1973.)

Since then, an uneasy truce has existed, as although the Zipsendorfers chafe under Meuselwitzer hegemony and occupation, ZFC started an astounding clim from the mid 1990s that has brought them all the way to the Oberliga.
